Welcome back, Spooky Friends!

I would like to start out the month sharing my personal collection of Halloween tracks that have haunted me over the years. I know there are a lot of spooky songs out there, but I am very particular in what I have on my list as I tend to really start listening to the playlist in August.

The songs are in alphabetical order, some are old, new, pop, rock, rap, etc.

Addams Groove – MC Hammer
Funky and fun. Imagining the Addams Family dancing makes me laugh.

Black Magic Woman – Santana
Slow, haunting, with that sense of incantation. Perfect for twilight. ( The time of day not movie.)

(Don’t Fear)The Reaper – Blue Oyster Cult
Ghostly, moody, a reminder that death is always part of the story.

Grim Grinning Ghosts – Los Lobos
Love the Haunted Mansion. I can practically hear our ghost host calling.

Ghostbusters – Ray Parker Jr.
For when you need a playful break from the eerie stuff.

Halloween – The Misfits/Siouxsie & The Banshees
Punk + Goth = Full-on Halloween energy

In the Room Where you Sleep – Dead Man’s Bones
Soft, strange, surreal, This one lingers long after it stops.

Spook, Scary Skeletons (Remix) – Andrew Gold
Dance party for my skeleton friends.

Thriller – Michael Jackson
The king of Halloween songs.

I tend to listen to my playlist while driving my car, at work, and while working on my hobbies. It helps keep the mood spooky.
